Headteacher Welcome

Mr D Harrison - Headteacher

On behalf of the children, staff and governors, I would like to welcome you to Wallsend Jubilee Primary School. We hope you find our website clear, informative and easy to navigate. It is designed to give you a flavour of the vibrant life of our school, the work of our children and the quality of education we strive to deliver.

Our school is set in a fantastic location with a vast amount of open space for our children to learn and play safely.  We border the beautiful Rising Sun country park which we endeavour to use as often as possible to enrich the learning experiences of all our children.

We pride ourselves in ensuring that all children are nurtured supported and as a consequence of this develop and make progress to the best of their abilities. Children who come to Wallsend Jubilee will be encouraged to develop lifelong learning and we base this approach on the 6Rs.  These skills support our children in resilience responsibility, resourcefulness, risk taking, readiness and reflectiveness.

Teaching and learning in our school is exciting and thought provoking.  The children will start their Journey in our Early Years Environment which is rich in educational experiences, language acquisition and social interaction.  Moving on through our school the children will be taught a wide ranging curriculum that’s is broad and balanced ultimately ensuring that your child is ready for High school.

We encourage parents and carers to be an integral part of our school and as such we welcome you into school as much as possible to join in with your children’s learning.  Visits and visitors are important to us and they help drive the curriculum forward and give our children experience outside the classroom.

We have high expectations of ourselves as staff and have similar expectations for our children.  We expect them to work hard, challenge themselves and ultimately be the best they can be.

Visits are encouraged and welcomed: the children, staff and I would be delighted to show you around our school.
