Mental Health week 2021

This Year we celebrated Children's mental health week in style with the theme 'Express Yourself'. Expressing yourself is about finding ways to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas, through creativity. This could be through art, music, writing and poetry, dance and drama, photography and film, and doing activities that make you feel good. Children at home and in school discussed what it means to express yourself and why it is so important at the moment to do so.

We dedicated an afternoon to expressing ourselves and feeling happy in so many different ways. Some of us chose to create pictures and paintings, some of us danced and some of us sang. These children learning from home created positivity jars to remind them of happy times and uplifting thoughts.
Children in Year 1 would love to show you how they express themselves!
