Foundation Stage Curriculum
At Wallsend Jubilee Primary School, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, which sets the standards that all Early Years providers must meet to ensure that all children are kept safe and well and learn and develop to the best of their potential. We believe that children learn best through play and so provide a range of play based activities with free-flow access to the outdoor environment, where the children learn through direct experience, investigation, exploration and play. Staff plan activities which are directly matched to the needs of the children and there is a balance of adult directed and child initiated activities on offer.
Key Stage One and Two Curriculum
At Wallsend Jubilee we follow the 2016 National Curriculum. Children will have on average one hour of maths and English per day. Two hours of Physical Education per week. All other subjects are taught through a thematic approach and will be enhanced though a wide range of visits, visitors and enrichment activities.
